He was born April 15, 1888, in Tyrone, a son of John and Emma (Woomer) Lewis. On July 15, 1908, in Youngstown, O., he married Zula Lewis. Surviving are his widow, these children: Kenneth of Waverly, Mass., John W. of Fredericksburg, Va., and Mrs. John Cooper of Tyrone; three grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. George Moore of Tyrone, and Mrs. Charles Parson [Parsons] of Altoona. He was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist church, the B. of R.T., of which he was treasurer for 18 years, and the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire company. He was a retired Middle division passenger trainman. Altoona Mirror, July 15, 1953
