OSCAR WARD LEWIS

Of 500 West Nineteenth street, Tyrone, died at the Philipsburg State 
hospital at 1.50 o'clock yesterday morning following an extended 
illness. He was born April 15, 1888, in Tyrone, a son of John and Emma 
(Woomer) Lewis.  On July 15, 1908, in Youngstown, O., he married Zula 
Lewis. Surviving are his widow, these children: Kenneth of Waverly, 
Mass., John W. of Fredericksburg, Va., and Mrs. John Cooper of Tyrone; 
three grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. George Moore of Tyrone, and 
Mrs. Charles Parson [Parsons] of Altoona.  He was a member of the 
Columbia Avenue Methodist church, the B. of R.T., of which he was 
treasurer for 18 years, and the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire 
company.  He was a retired Middle division passenger trainman.
