All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WILSON LEWIS Wilson Lewis, retired Pennsylvania Railroad conductor, died at his home, 1612 Pennsylvania avenue, this morning at eleven o'clock following a brief illness with pneumonia. Mr. Lewis was a son of Samuel and Ellen (Beamer) Lewis and was born at Dix on August 28, 1859. On September 2, 1890, he was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Peterson of Spruce Creek. He is survived by his wife, one daughter and two sons, Miss Ellen Lewis, Mahlon Lewis and John Lewis, all of Tyrone, also two grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Woomer, Tyrone, and Mrs. Harry Ganoe, of Clearfield, Pa. He was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the P.R.R. Retired Men's club. Funeral services will be held at the home on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Dr. Bert A. Salter, pastor of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, followed by burial at the Bald Eagle cemetery. Tyrone Daily Herald, Monday, April 27, 1936
