M. shabodeho@aol.com October 23, 2012, 10:26 am Altoona Mirror 6/23/1983 6/23/1983 Altoona Mirror Robert Light Mr. Light, 79, who resided at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Brower of 2121 Columbia Ave., Tyrone, since August 1978, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 1983, in Tyrone Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Light retired from Miller's Coal Yard, Tyrone, in 1981, after 18 years' service. He was previously employed at the Port Matilda Brickyard. He was born April 3, 1904, in Tyrone, the son of John and Matilda (Dixon) Light, and was twice married, first to Alphreta Riggleman, then to Selma Zimmerman. Surviving are his wife of Tyrone RD, and two nieces: Cynthia Riggleman of Tyrone and Debbie McMullan of Charleston, S. C., who were raised in the home. Mr. Light was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Tyrone. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone,and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Free Methodist Church. LIGHT — Services for Robert Light of Tyrone will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Free Methodist Church, Tyrone, by the Rev. Charles E. Baker and the Rev. Brian Swartwood. Interment in Baughman Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone, and 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church.
