He was born near Frankstown, June 5, 1850, and resided in that city for thirty-four years. He was employed in the Twelfth street tank shop and was a member of the Knights of Phythias, the P. R. R> Relief association and the Boiler and Tank Shop floral societies. His wife died about two years ago and he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maude Woodring and Mrs. Annie Richie, of Altoona, and one son, Wilmore, of Tyrone. Three sisters, Mrs. Kate Slippey, of Frankstown; Mrs. Eliza Prough, of Lakemont Terrace, and Mrs. Toura Laymer, of Harold, Pa., with one brother, John, of Gaysport also survive.
