At his home, two miles west of East Freedom, Mr. George W. Lingenfelter died yesterday. The funeral services will be held in the United Brethren church in East Freedom Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Roaring Spring cemetery. A more extended notice of the deceased will appear later. Morning Tribune, Saturday, December 2, 1899 THE LATE G. W. LINGENFELTER. A brief note in the Tribune of Saturday morning last chronicled the death at his home in Freedom township, of Mr. G. W. Lingenfelter. We have been furnished with the following additional [facts] concerned the deceased: Mr. Lingenfelter was aged 66 years, 2 months and 8 days. He was a volunteer in the civil war, serving three years. He was a member of the Grand Army post of Roaring Spring and also of the Sons --?--, and in his death the community loses a good citizen. His wife survives him as do also seven children as follows: Arthur, of Altoona; John, of Freedom township, Allen and Herbert, at home; Charles, of East Freedom, Sarah --?--, wife of M. D. Dodson, of Hopewell; --ith, wife of Jacob Snyder, of Roaring Spring. He was buried at Roaring Spring on --nday. The services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Waugaman of the Reformed church, assisted by Rev. George Shimer. He had been a member of the Reformed church for forty-four years. Morning Tribune, Wednesday, December 6, 1899
