All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ LINGENFELTER Herbert Lingenfelter, residing one mile south of East Freedom, died at the family home yesterday morning at 9.30 o'clock, after a short illness from a complication of diseases. He had not been in the best of health for some time, and on last Saturday contracted a severe cold, which hastened his death. He was the son of George W. and Mary E. Lingenfelter, both deceased, and was born July 8, 1874. He is survived by his wife, Charlotta (Beegle) Lingenfelter, and by three daughters, Lena, Ruth and Violet, all at home. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: John, Allen and Charles, all residing in the vicinity of East Freedom, Mrs. M. D. Dodson, of Hopewell, Bedford county and Mrs. Jacob G. Snyder of Roaring Spring. He was employed in this city by the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a machinist in Erecting shop No. 2, and was a member of East Freedom lodge, Jr. O.U.A.M., and of East Freedom lodge No. 1131, I.O.O.F. He was a member of the Claysburg Methodist church and the funeral will be conducted at the home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of the pastor, Rev. Fasic.
