All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ MISS LEAH LINGENFELTER Miss Leah Lingenfelter, daughter of Jacob and Nora Lingenfelter, of Renaud, died in the Memorial hospital, Johnstown, yesterday morning at 7 o'clock, after several days' illness from appendicitis. She was admitted to the institution Sunday, no operation having been performed. Miss Lingenfelter was a bright and genial young woman, and on January 28 would have celebrated her eighteenth birthday anniversary. A devout Christian she was dearly beloved by all those who shared her acquaintance. Of recent months she had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Richards. Surviving are the mother, four sisters, three brothers and one half brother. Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday morning, with interment following at Clair, Bedford county. Claysburg The funeral of Miss Leah Pearl Lingenfelter, whose death from appendicitis occurred at the Memorial hospital, Johnstown, was held in the Upper Claar church Sunday afternoon at 2.30 by Rev. Skyles, pastor of the Mt. Hope Reformed church, of which she was a member. Interment was made in the Claar cemetery. She would have attained her 18th year January 28.
