Martin Gilds Lingenfelter, of 2120 Eighth avenue, died last evening at his late home at 5:30 o'clock, following a long illness. Deceased was born May 8, 1856, near Claysburg, residing in this city for the past thirty-seven years. Surviving are his wife and these children: J. Edgar of Pasadena, Cal., Lowell R. of Wellsville, O., Sarah of Deaconess hospital, Cincinnati, O., Paul N. of the United States army at Fort Sill, Okla., Mrs. Melvin Welker, of Llyswen, G. Leslie, Katherine Clare Cora and Elizabeth all at home. One sister also survives Mrs. Ellen Hopfer, of Portage, and nine grandchildren. He was a member of the Reformed church from his early youth and lived an exemplary Christian life, being at the time of his death a member of the Christ Reformed church of this city. Private funeral services will be held at his late home at a time to be announced later.
