All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ ABRAHAM LIPSHITZ Abraham Lipshitz, rabbi of Agudath Achim and Talmud Torah Hebrew congregations in this city, died yesterday morning at 9 at his home, 1729 Union avenue. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis, with which he was stricken at an early hour Thursday morning. He had been in his usual health up to the time he was stricken and his death was a great shock to his friends. Deceased was born in Russia about 68 years ago and had been a resident of Altoona for a long time. He is survived by his wife and seven children: Bessie Lipshitz, Morris Lipshitz, Mrs. Sarah Charne--, Mrs. Rachel Kantner, Mrs. Belle Gordon, Hiram, Samuel, Myers and Celia Lipshitz. The funeral will take place this morning between 10 and 11, services to be conducted in the synagogue and interment in the Hebrew cemetery.
