Lloyd, 95, of Bellwood went to be with the Lord she loved Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born in Altoona on May 17, 1912, a daughter of the late William E. and Edith M. (Fogle) Cherry. She married E. Eugene Lloyd on October 12, 1940 in Winchester, VA. He died February 23, 1987. Surviving are a daughter: Amy Kay Bowers and husband Dr. Bazel Bowers of Chesapeake, VA; brother: W. Dean Cherry of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Bonnie Gene; three sisters: Flobel Cherry, Thelma Roorback and Erma Bell; and a brother: A. Dale Cherry. Mrs. Lloyd was a member of Tipton Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Tyrone High School and Shippensburg State Teachers College. She retired as an elementary teacher at Bellwood-Antis School District with 25 years of service and was a homemaker while raising her daughter. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Tipton Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at Tipton Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Lucas officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
