M. Lloyd, Esq., of this city, died very suddenly on Tuesday afternoon last. He retired on Monday night in usual health, but about four o'clock on Tuesday morning informed the family that he was ill, complaining of distress in his stomach. A physician was called, and with the aid of proper remedies he was shortly relieved, and supposed to be entirely out of danger. His father went to his business as usual; and no symptoms of a relapse appeared until some time after dinner, when he was suddenly seized with a fit of vomiting, leading to hemorrhage, and before the father could reach the house, although he was summoned promptly, his boy was a corpse. What adds to the distress of his sorrowing relatives was the absence of his mother visiting a daughter in Connecticut. Deceased was about twenty years of age, and was a young man of great promise, and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. - Altoona Sun The Register, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, May 11, 1870 Note: Listed as Willie Loyd, 10, in the 1860 Hollidaysburg, Blair County census
