An old soldier and a well-known resident of this city, died of diseases incident to old age at 2:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon, at his home, Twenty-first avenue and Sixteenth street, aged 66 years. The deceased served his country faithfully during the late war and was a member of Post 62, G.A.R.; also a member of the Methodist church. His wife and the following children survive to mourn their loss: William of Lloydsville, John Scott and Mrs. Brubaker of this city. The remains will be removed to the home of his son, John, Seventh avenue and Twentieth street, from which the funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon; interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
