Mr. Logue, accompanied by his wife and child, was returning to Altoona from a brief holiday visit to his sister, Mrs. Mary Behe of Carrolltown. The party arrived in Cresson on the train over the branch and were waiting for Mail Express, due at 5:01. His wife and child had boarded the train while the unfortunate victim was taking leave of a friend. The train was in motion when he attempted to board it, although not going very fast. In some manner Mr. Logue lost his footing and was hurled under the wheels of one of the coaches and was badly crushed about the head and body and was in an unconscious condition when picked up. The train was stopped and the injured man placed on it and started for Altoona. He died however at Kittanning Point. The victim was 35 years of age and was well known in Altoona. His wife has been prostrated over the accident and is in a serious condition. Cambria Freeman, Ebensburg, Pa., Volume 39, Number 52, Friday, January 5, 1906
