The body was turned over to Undertakers Hickey and O'Neil to be prepared for burial, but they are in the dark as to the identity of the man, who appears to have been about fifty years of age. A number of envelopes in his pocket bear different names and none of the men about the Engle House knew him and the Pennsy officials will have to go over their books this morning that they may know the identity of the deceased. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, November 21, 1918 IDENTITY OF MAN WHO DROPPED DEAD, ESTABLISHED The man who dropped dead in the old Engle Hotel, Tenth avenue and Fourteenth street on Wednesday evening, and whose identity could not be revealed, was found to be Amos Lomax, an Englishman, aged 47. His remains are being held at the morgue of Undertakers Hickey & O'Neil, but will be interred today. Deputy Coroner Chester C. Rothrock was called following the man's death and made an investigation but no inquest will be held, the workman's death being attributed to heart failure. The man has no relatives here so far as can be established. According to his record kept by the Pennsy he was born in England, Aug. 6, 1871. He has been employed here by the company for some time and was quartered at the Engle hotel with a large force of railroad laborers. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, November 22, 1918
