D. 2, near Tipton, died at Mercy hospital at 12:20 P.M. Wednesday after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 24, 1879, at Mexico, Pa., the son of Abraham and Maggie E. (Kleffman) Long. He was married Dec. 17, 1914 to Mary L. Ziegler. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Edward B. Glenn of Mifflintown and Mrs. D. Harold Troxell of Altoona; five grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. F. L. Stevens of Altoona, Mrs. Mary Kelly of Juniata Gap and James K. of Altoona. He was a member of the First Methodist church of Tyrone and the B. of L. E. of Altoona. He was a retired engineer, retiring after 52 years service in 1949.
