Lord, 3915 Broad avenue Altoona, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Tyrone hospital yesterday morning following his collapse at his work as a butcher at the Getz Market Store, 1068 Pennsylvania avenue at 10:15 a.m. Mr. Lord, who apparently was not ill when he reported for work Thursday morning, collapsed suddenly in the main store room and was rushed immediately in the Blazing Arrow ambulance to the Tyrone hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. He was born at Frankford, July 31, 1901, the son of A. H. and Catherine Adam Lord. He was formerly engaged in business in Altoona being proprietor of the A. H. Lord Meat Market at Eighth avenue and 24th street. He had been employed in Tyrone for about a year. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church, and was governor of the Altoona lodge of Loyal Order of Moose for four years. He was also treasurer of the Greater Altoona Democratic club. He is survived by his wife, Hildegarde Schmidhamer Lord; a son Thomas L., at home; a brother and two sisters, Charles Danemark, Altoona; Mrs. George S. Brantlinger, Altoona; and Mrs. Josephine Anzenberger, Pittsburgh. Friends are being received after 7 p. m. Saturday at the N. A. Stevens mortuary, Altoona.
