Joseph Herman Lordeman died yesterday morning at 6 o'clock at the residence of his brother, at 904 Howard avenue. He was born in Baltimore on July 7, 1851, the son of Christopher R. and Anna M. Lordeman. Coming to Altoona in January, 1881, he entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a wood carver. On October 15, 1884, he was married at St. Michael's Catholic church, Hollidaysburg, to Kate B. Gromiller, of that place, who died on August 19, 1902. Four children were born to this union - J. Harry, deceased; Anna M., wife of Howard J. Brennecke; James E., in France, and Karl E., in the navy. One brother at whose home he died and one sister at the same address, also survive. Friends, please omit flowers. Funeral cortege leaves at 8:30 Friday morning, with requiem High Mass at St. Mary's Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
