Scott Loudon [sic] died at the residence of his father, John Loudon, esq., Broad street, at five minutes past 5 o'clock Tuesday morning. The deceased was born in Altoona and was 33 years old on the 29th of last January. He contracted a severe cold last spring and in the hope of improving his health went to Colorado in September last. The change, however, caused no lasting benefit and the cold developed into consumption. On the 15th of the present month he returned to his home in Altoona and despite the best of medical attention and skillful nursing the disease continued to make rapid inroads upon his physical strength until death relieved him from his sufferings at the hour above stated. The deceased leaves four brothers and four sisters, as follows: Mrs. W. L. Adams, of Spruce Creek; Mrs. H. T. Heinsling, of Altoona, and Misses Susanna M. and Gertrude Louden, also of this city; Lincoln Louden of Greenville, Michigan; G. W., Albert and Edward Louden, of this city.
