LOWE Of 561 Fifty-third street, died at his home at 5.30 o'clock this morning after a brief illness. He was born in Huntingdon on Aug. 14, 1869, a son of Cyrus B. and Rebecca (McConnell) Lowe. Mr. Lowe retired from the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad company in February, 1938, as a clerk at the South Altoona foundry, having been employed by the company for a period of fifty-two years. On Sept. 16, 1891, he married Miss Annie G. Brady, the ceremony being performed in St. Mark's Catholic church. Surviving are his wife, one son and two daughters, Mrs. Don Curry and Charles L., jr., both of this city, and Mrs. Dr. John A. Tushim of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, William J. Lowe of Cincinnati, O., Mrs. Andrew Moffatt of Juniata, Mrs. Joseph Martin and John Lowe of Altoona. Mr. Lowe was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church, of Altoona lodge, No. 102, Elks, and the M.B.A. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. LOWE - The funeral of Charles L. Lowe of 561 Fifty-third street will be held Friday morning with requiem mass at 10 o'clock in St. Rose of Lima church. Interment in St. John's cemetery. Lowe, of 561 Fifty-third Street, Altoona, died at his home Tuesday morning, April 16, 1940, at 5:30 o'clock following a brief illness. Born in Huntingdon August 14, 1869, he was a son of Cyrus B. and Rebecca (McConnell) Lowe.
