LOWTHER. - On the morning of the 3d instant, at the residence of her parents, in this city, Lizzie Kate, daughter of James and Susan M. Lowther, aged 18 years and 3 months. But a few short months ago the subject of the above notice left this city to attend the Pittsburg Female Seminary, where we believe she contracted the disease (Typhoid fever), which ended her journey on earth, and transferred her spirit through the dark valley to eternal bliss. Miss Lowther was loved and respected by a large circle of friends here and elsewhere. She was a young lady of good disposition, a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and passed away, trusting in the promise of our Savior. Her afflicted parents have the sympathy of the community. No more shall she visit us, or tell us of the power of Jesus' blood to save. Here she knew in part, but now. "Knowing as she is known, Oh, shall she love that word; And oft repeat before the throne, Forever with the Lord. Altoona Sun, Altoona, Pa., Friday morning, June 7, 1872
