Luckett, a well known retired Pennsylvania railroad engineer, died at his home, 2206 Eighth avenue, at 12.15 o'clock, yesterday afternoon, of a complication diseases, after an illness of a year's duration. He was born at Summit, Cambria county, May 20, 1853, and had resided in this city for many years. When a young man, he entered the employ of the Pennsy as a fireman, being later promoted to the position of engineer, at which he was steadily employed until forced to retire because of ill health, on July 1 last. He is survived by his wife and four children: Anna Regina, a sister of the Order of St. Joseph at St. Joseph's hospital, Pittsburgh; Regina, John and Mrs. Fannie Strausler of this city. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the P.R.R. Relief. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
