She was admitted to the institution on Tuesday. Mrs. Lyle was the wife of Allen B. Lyle, and was born at Berwick, Columbia county, in 1897, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner. She was married two years ago, and besides her husband is survived by one son, Walter B., aged 15 months. Her parents reside at Point View. Four brothers and two sisters also survive. The remains were turned over to Lafferty and Tobias for preparation for burial. Funeral notice later. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, October 17, 1918 FUNERAL NOTICE The funeral of the late Mrs. Clara S. Lyle of Park avenue will be held today. Mrs. Lyle died from peritonitis Wednesday at the Altoona hospital. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charges Gardner of Point View and was born at Berwick, Pa., on Nov. 17, 1897. She was married to Allen Lyle on Sept. 6, 1916. He survives with an infant son. She leaves her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Walter and Harry in France, Florence, Alma Mildred, Leon and Everett at home.
