Lynn died at his home here on Sunday, December 17, 1899, aged 56 years and 3 months. He was an old soldier, a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and of the Methodist Episcopal church. His funeral occurred on Tuesday, Rev. E. H. Wallace, his pastor, preaching the funeral sermon. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Mary Lynn; two sons, Samuel and Frank, and three daughters, Mrs. George Nicodemus, of Martinsburg; Mrs. Daniel L. Dick, of this place, and Mrs. John Snyder, of Altoona.
