LYSINGER Of 715 First Avenue died at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Altoona Veterans hospital after an extended illness. He was born at Altoona Aug. 7, 1898, the son of David and Sarah (Frederick) Lysinger, and was formerly employed by the Rothert Furniture company, Altoona. Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Bennett; the following children: Mrs. Theodore Louks, Lawrence L. and David W. of Altoona, Eleanor, Ruth Marie, Shirley D., Alfred W., Harold D. and Ronald E., at the home; a foster daughter, Mrs. Ethel Karosi of Englewood, Calif.; a brother and sister, Lawrence K. and Mrs. Clara Renard of Altoona, and six grandchildren. He was a private in World War I and a member of the Salvation Army citadel. Friends may call at the Lafferty funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, July 23, 1955 _________________________________________ DAVID A. LYSINGER Of 2612 Walnut avenue died at 11.55 o'clock yesterday morning at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born May 2, 1853, at East Freedom. Surviving are these sons and daughters: Alfred, Lewis, Harry, and Mrs. Clara Rinard, all of Altoona, and Celie Lysinger of Jamestown, Pa, Mrs. Stella Sherdon of Cresson, Mrs. Elizabeth Bender of Geistown, and one step-son, Frank, at home. Twenty-seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive. Friends are being received at the N. A. Stevens mortuary. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery. Altoona Mirror, February 4, 1941
