Madden, well known Hollidaysburg resident, died at his home, 209 Mulberry street, Saturday at 3:30 p.m., of complications after a long illness. He was a son of Thomas and Eliza Madden, and was born at Lancaster, Pa., March 17, 1851. He was formerly a mill worker, but had been retired for some years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Surviving are his wife, four sons and three daughters: Nellie, Elizabeth and Edward Madden, at home; Francis Madden, Hollidaysburg; Mrs. M. E. Holmquest, Jamestown, N. Y., and David S. Madden, of Sand Spring, Okalahoma. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary's church, Tuesday at 9 a.m. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
