Mrs. Maria Maffet, widow of William Maffet, died at Davis, West Virginia, 
Sunday, aged 68 years and one month.  Surviving her are three brothers and 
five sisters, as follows:  John Lemon, of Gatesburg; George and James Lemon, 
of Braddock; Mrs. Sarah Rhodes, of Altoona; Mrs. Emily Smith of Northwood; 
Mrs. Eliza J. Reader, of Barnesboro; Mrs. Miriam Chronister, of Centre Line, 
and Mrs. Mary Minor, of Instanter.  The deceased was for thirty-five years a 
member of the M.E. church, and a consistent Christian whose death was a 
triumphant one.  The remains will arrive at Tyrone this evening for interment 
in Grand View cemetery.  Rev. W.W. Rymer, will conduct the funeral services 
tomorrow at 10 o'clock at the home of William S. Meredith on Blair avenue.  
Mrs. Meredith is a niece of the deceased.  William Maffet, husband of the 
deceased, died in Tyrone about five years ago.
