EUGENE MORRIS MAITLAND 

  Eugene Morris Maitland, 77, of Bald Eagle, RD 3, Box 249, Tyrone, 
died Saturday morning, Sept. 23, 2006 at his residence.
  He was born Dec. 27, 1928 at Ridley Park, Delaware Co., PA, a son of 
Jesse and Katherine (Griffith) Maitland.
  He was married Aug. 31, 1951 to Donna Mae Gill.
  He is survived by his wife and three daughters: Linda Jean Mentzer 
(Gary) of RD Julian, PA, Kimberly Hammond (Chuck) of Port Matilda, PA 
and Donna Gene Maurer (Chad) of RD Julian, PA.
  He is also survived by five grandchildren: Kendall Maurer, Seth 
Maurer, Sherry Bietz (Sean), Steve Spanelli and Cory Hammond (DeeDee); 
four great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Joseph Maitland 
(Dee) of Pahrump, NV, Bill Maitland of Oregon and Dorothy Colledge in 
Florida.
  He was preceded in death by a brother Harry Maitland.
  He was a graduate of Ridley Twp. High School, Delaware Co., PA; a 
member of the Tyrone American Legion Post 281 and served as a Sergeant 
in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
  He was a retired machinist from Ameron Construction in State College.
  As requested by the deceased there will be no viewing. Services will 
be at the convenience of the family.
  Arrangements were by the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone.
