Mallory, 89, of Valley View Home, formerly of 516 Pleasant Valley Blvd., died Friday evening at the home. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late John and Olive (Kerlin) Dore. She married Mahlon G. Mallory July 10, 1943, in Altoona. He died Dec. 12, 1987. Mrs. Mallory was a member of Altoona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She retired as a machine operator from Warnaco, graduated from Altoona High School and was a member of the Altoona Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crafts. Surviving are two daughters: Marilyn K. Harten of Hollidaysburg and Shirley A. Ray of Darlington, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward J.; and three sisters. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2006, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Lake officiating. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park.
