DEATH OF JAMES MALONE.

  Mr. James Malone, who resides on the corner of Wayne and Blair 
streets, Fourth ward, Hollidaysburg, died on Thursday afternoon.  His 
complaint was Bright's disease of the kidneys.  Deceased was seventy-
two years of age, both in Path Valley, Franklin county; came to this 
county when yet a young man, and for a number of years kept a hotel in 
Freedom.  For the last fifteen or twenty years he has resided in this 
town engaged in contracting, etc.  He held the contract for putting in 
many of the sewers in Altoona.  His funeral will take place at 2 
o'clock to-day, and proceed to the Presbyterian Cemetery.
