Mrs. Mary Ann Manley, wife of David Manley, died at her home in Homer's gap at 2.25 o'clock yesterday morning of heart trouble and old age. She was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Riggle and was born March 24, 1834, near the place where she died. She spent her entire life in Homer's gap. She is survived by her husband, three sons and a daughter, Attorney W. B. and J.H. and F. N. Manley and Martha, all in this city. She is also survived by one brother and four sisters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10.30 o'clock in the Asbury church. Interment in the church cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, May 9, 1918, page 10
