Alexander Manspeaker of 214 East Third avenue, an employe of the Fourth street railroad shops, died at his home at 1.50 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after a two weeks' illness from Bright's disease. He was born at Breezewood, Bedford county, Aug. 31, 1859, and was twice married, the first wife being Miss Pricilla Nagley of Breezewood, who preceded him to the grave twenty-seven years ago. To this union four children, all of whom survive, were born: Chauncey M., of Highberger, Col., Mrs. Walter Johnson of Roosevelt, Utah; Mrs. Abram Goss of Bellwood and Oscar Tilden of Altoona. The second wife who was miss Ella Gibson of Houtzdale survives, and a stepdaughter of the deceased, five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Charles Manspeaker of Henderson, Md.; Mrs. Thomas Salkeild and Mrs. Frank Lester, both of Altoona; Mrs. Simon Kauffman of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Benjamin Evans of Hopewell, a great aunt, Mrs. William Morgan of Logantown and five children also survive. Six weeks ago, a sister, Mrs. Widham Grove, of Roselawn died of the same disease. Deceased was a member of the Second United Brethren church and of the P.R.R. Floral association. Funeral services will be conducted at the late home on Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock; interment at Breezewood at which place further services will be held; six nephews of the deceased will act as pall bearers.
