MAPES Mr. Mapes, 61, of 435 Walnut St., Roaring Spring, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 1991, at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring. Mr. Mapes retired as a payloader operator from New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Roaring Spring plant, in April 1991, after 43 years' service. He was born July 5, 1929, in Roaring Spring, the son of Joseph and Beulah (Scott) Mapes, and Feb. 23, 1951, in Roaring Spring, married Joyce E. Teeter. Surviving are his wife, six children: Elaine Dulaney of Hollidaysburg, Denise Mickel, Mark and Linda of Roaring Spring, Brenda Kunsman of East Freedom RD and Karen Gorman of Martinsburg RD 2, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers and sisters: Joseph F. of Roaring Spring RD, Paul H., Timothy L., Mabel M. Keagy and Betty A. Dick of Roaring Spring, and Carl E. of Altoona.
