Markey, aged 86, of Sylvan Hills, well known constable of Frankstown township for a period of thirty-one years, died at his home at 9 o'clock this morning after having been in failing health for the past two years. Mr. Markey was born on Brush mountain, near Hollidaysburg, on July 19, 185*, a son of Crist and Frances (Hainley) Markey, and lived in that vicinity all of his life. He retired as constable in 1942. IN addition he was a carpenter by trade. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rosanna (Hanley) Markey, whom he married on May 20, 1883, one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Harry McMullen and Dave Markey of Sylvan Hills, and Harry Markey of Pleasant valley, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Crist Markey of Sylvan Hills. Friends will be received at the Creamer & Van Allman funeral home, Hollidaysburg, after 7 o'clock this evening. MARKEY - Funeral services for George O. Markey of Hollidaysburg, R.D., will be conducted at the Church of God, Lakemont, in charge of Rev. Beck on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Interment in Presbyterian cemetery.
