Yesterday at 2.20 a.m. Mrs. Isabella Marshall died at the home of her daughter-in-law, the widow of the late Captain James H. Marshall, 1001 Eighth avenue, of dropsy. August 4, 1894, she --- fall on the sidewalk at her home, sustaining a dislocation of the hip which made it impossible to leave her room ever since. For the last fifteen weeks she had been confined to her bed. She was born in New Bloomfield, Perry county, November 6, 1808, and was consequently 90 years and 9 months of age, being one of the oldest ladies in the city at the time of her demise. She was married at New Bloomfield May 10, 1832, to --- B. Marshall, who died in 1835. To this union two sons were born, both of them are now dead. William C., March 10, 1893, and Captain James Marshall, in 1897. Deceased came to Altoona to live with her son in 1883. She was a member of the Presbyterian church all her life and transferred her membership to the Second Presbyterian church, of this city, when she came here to reside. At --- home and in her later years in Altoona she was widely known and --- for her ready kindness and prompt --- to those distressed or in trouble. She enjoyed excellent health during her long life until her unfortunate accident five years ago. She is survived by seven? grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Services will be conducted at the house. The remains will be interred in Oak Ridge cemetery.
