VESTA MARIE "CHICKIE" MARTINEZ 

  Vesta Marie "Chickie" Martinez, 74, of 1352 Bald Eagle Ave., Tyrone died 
Sunday, November 14, 2004 at UPMC, Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
  She was born January 10, 1930 in Tyrone, a daughter of Zachariah and Vesta 
(Williams) Sprankle. On July 15, 1950 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone she 
married Victor F. Martinez. He died February 16, 2002.
  Surviving are three daughters, Sherry Ann Reese, Tyrone; Vickie Jo Kunkle, 
Altoona and Dawn Marie Barr, Sinking Valley; four sons, Francis, Mark, David and 
Scott all of Tyrone; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a sister, 
Mary Jane Rieti and husband George, Bridgeton, N.J.; a brother Charles Sprankle 
of Bellwood; a sister-in-law Beverly Sprankle, Tipton; a brother-in-law Rocco 
DelBaggio Sr., Tyrone and a special niece Joyce Miller, Tyrone. She was preceded 
in death by a sister Marian DelBaggio and brother and sister-in-law Zack and 
Shirley Sprankle.
  Mrs. Martinez was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, the Catholic 
Daughters of America, Court St. Rita and the Grazierville Gang.      
  Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 11 a.m. at St. 
Matthew Church with Fr. Joseph T. Orr, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak 
Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received today at Feller Memorial Home from 2 
to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wake services will be held at the funeral home today 
at 8:30 p.m.
