Marx, Aged resident of the East End, died at his home, 121 East First avenue, Monday afternoon, death resulting from a hemorrhage following an illness from a complication of diseases. He was born March 14, 1852, in Allegheny, and had been a resident of this city for forty- five years. He retired from the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad company two years ago, having been a gang foreman in the machine shops. He was united in marriage forty-five years ago with Miss Theckla Everhart. Surviving are three children, Mrs. John Roncoroni, John Marx and Charles Marx, nine grandchildren and one brother, Alexander Marx, of Pittsburgh. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning in St. Mark's church. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., April 1, 1924, page 18
