RALPH THOMAS MASON 

Of 1909 6th Ave., died at 10.32 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital, where 
he was admitted April 5, after a brief illness.  He was born in Altoona Aug. 
9, 1885, a son of Frank L. and Alice (Fagley) Mason, and on Dec. 25, 1905 
married Lillian L. Weston.  Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. 
Thelma Effinger of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Margaret Nussbaum, at home; 20 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was a member of the Simpson 
Methodist Church and retired as a tower operator for the Pennsylvania 
Railroad on Nov. 1, 1952.  Friends will be received at the Bigelow Funeral 
Home after 3 p.m. tomorrow.
