ROARING SPRING ITEMS
GEORGE ELVIN MASSICK

  G. Elvin Massick, 12-year-old son of George and Florence Massick, the 
latter deceased, died a the parental home in Taylor township of 
pneumonia contracted one week ago, at 2.30 p.m. Sunday.  He was born in 
the township on June 9, 1905, and is the fourth member of the family to 
be called by death during the past five years.  He was affiliated with 
the Brethren church of this place and attended Sunday school.  His 
father, three sisters and two brothers survive as follows: Alice, Ada, 
Rachel, Emory and Paul, all at home.  Paul is seriously ill, as the 
result of injuries sustained in a fall some months ago.  The funeral 
will occur on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. G. Crosswhite 
will officiate and the remains will be interred in the Brethren 
cemetery.

MASSIC.

  George A. Massic died at the home of his father, George Massic, who 
resides about one mile south of Roaring Spring, Sunday afternoon at 
2.30 o'clock, death being caused by pneumonia from which he had 
suffered for one week.  He was born June 9, 1905, and was a student at 
the Albright school in Taylor township and was a member of the Church 
of the Brethren at Roaring Spring.  He is survived by his father and 
three sisters, Alice, Ada and Rachael and two brothers, Paul and Emory, 
all at home.  The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at 
his late home.  Services will be in charge of Rev. A. G. Crosthwaite of 
the Church of the Brethren.  Interment in Albright cemetery.
