She was born May 18, 1934 in Altoona, a daughter of the late George J. and Bertha C. (Greenawalt) Meghan. She married Robert S. Mathers on December 26, 1953 in Cumberland, Md. Surviving are her husband; children: Jeffrey L. and wife Janice of Juniata, Michele Bollinger and husband James of Bellwood and Terry L. of Glendale; daughter-in-law: Tracy Mathers of Tyrone; grandchildren: Jessica Cooley and husband Craig, Melissa Mathers, Robert A. "Buddy" Mathers, Amanda Conrad, Bryce Mathers and Zack, Jacob and Mara Bollinger; great-grandchildren: Ty Hagen and Jeremy Cooley; aunt: Viola Gingery and cousin: Nancy Sitman. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary C. Mathers and a son, Robert E. She attended Olivet Baptist Church, Bellwood. Jean enjoyed fishing and bowling as a member of the Thursday morning coffee bowling league. She was an avid shopper and especially enjoyed shopping with her best friend, Nancy. Jean loved spending time with her family and was an expert at spoiling her grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Beichler officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Blair County Unit, Hollidaysburg or Home Nursing Hospice, Altoona. Tyrone Daily Herald, May 14, 2007
