Died.

MATTERN - On the 22d inst., at his residence on Sixth avenue, near the 
rolling mill, William K. Mattern, aged 57 years and 9 days.
  The funeral will take place from his late residence on Tuesday 
morning, at 9 o'clock, to proceed to Hollidaysburg.  Friends are 
invited to attend.

HOLLIDAYSBURG HAPPENINGS.

  The remains of the late Mr. Mattern, which were brought to our town 
yesterday for interment, were taken from the depot to the Methodist 
Episcopal church, and after religious services were deposited in the 
Jackson graveyard, located on the farm owned by Mr. J. C. Mattern, 
cousin of the deceased.
