JESSE C. MATTISON DEAD.

  Friends in this city have been advised of the death of Jesse C. Mattison 
at his home in Jamestown, N.Y., on Jan. 3, death being caused by stomach 
trouble.  Mr. Mattison was a former resident of Altoona, having been local 
manager of the Scranton Correspondence schools.  Some years ago he left 
Altoona and for some time has been living at Jamestown.  He was about to 
locate in Texas when taken ill.  His wife survives.  He was aged about 50 
years.
