MAYS Mrs. Mays, 88, of Valley View Home died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1982, in the home, after an extended illness. She was born Dec. 6, 1893, in Altoona, the daughter of Samuel and Anna Riling, and was twice married, first to James Harris, who died in 1917, then to Russell M. Mays, who died in 1970. Surviving are a grand-daughter and a great-grandson. Also surviving are two sisters and a brother: Mrs. Anna Butterbaugh of Wooster, Ohio; Ralph of Bellwood and Mrs. Pauline Khalouf of Catfish. Mrs. Mays was a member of the Fifty-Eighth Street United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Friday in the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Broad Avenue. MAYS - Services for Helen M. Mays of Valley View Home will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., Broad Avenue. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. A son, Harry I. Harris, died in 1967. Also surviving are daughter-in-law, Hilda Harris, and granddaughter, Linda Wombacher, with whom she had resided. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon until time of services Friday in the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., Broad Avenue.
