McCALEB A former well known resident of Altoona and a locomotive engineer on the Pittsburgh division, died suddenly at his home in Homewood yesterday morning. He was 64 years of age and had resided here until 1920 when he transferred his residence to Homewood. Mr. McCaleb made his usual run on Tuesday and that evening shook hands with George McConnell, a fellow engineer. Wednesday night, he called William McConnell on the telephone and informed him he was quite ill. While in Altoona Mr. McCaleb took an active interest in civic affairs, especially playground and swimming pool projects. He had been in the Pennsylvania Railroad company's service for a number of years. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth and Vivian McCaleb. Altoona Mirror, Friday, January 29, 1937
