SISTER M. DeSALES

Of the Sisters of Charity order, a former teacher in the Altoona parochial 
schools, died Wednesday in a Pittsburgh hospital.  She was born in Altoona in 
1868, her family name having been McCarthy.  Sister DeSales taught in the old 
St. John's school and later at St. Leo's school.  She was last stationed at 
Sharpsburg, where she retired six years ago and returned to the mother house 
at Seton Hill, Greensburg.  The funeral will be held there tomorrow morning.
