Deaths Monday.

Augustus McClain, a well-known young man who resided with his father,
David McClain, at the corner of Ninth avenue and Ninth street, died at
1 o'clock yesterday morning of consumption.  Several years ago, while
quite young, Augustus lost a leg on the railroad at the Ninth street
crossing.  He was an exemplary young man, and enjoyed the respect and
esteem of all his acquaintances.  He was an accomplished pianist, a
competent telegrapher and a skillful book-keeper and accountant.
