Local Brevities.

  Rose Ella, the 4-months old daughter of James and Kate McClain, 614 
Second avenue, was found dead in its bed by its mother about 9 o'clock 
yesterday morning.  The child was in the best of health Tuesday evening 
and apparently sleeping when the mother arose in the morning.  Mrs. 
McClain went down stairs and at the time stated returned to where the 
child had been left, only to find it dead.  A physician was summoned, 
who decided that it had come to its death from its food rising in its 
throat and suffocation ensued.  Owing to the fact that Mr. McClain is 
absent from the city the funeral arrangements have not yet been 
completed.
