All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ MCCLELLAN - FATAL ACCIDENT - On Wednesday evening last between the hours of six and seven o'clock, a young man named Calvin McClellan, in the employ of the Railroad Company as yard clerk at this place met with a severe accident which resulted in his death. He was engaged in taking the numbers of the cars on the Union Line freight going west, and while so employed the Express freight east approached on the track upon which he was standing. In attempting to get out of the way of the latter train, he was caught by the cow catcher of the locomotive dragged some forty feet along the track, until reaching a frog or switch when he was thrown under the engine, which passed over him, severing his legs and one arm almost off.
