She was born February 23, 1923 in Tyrone, a daughter of Laurie Wilt and Clara Marian (Thompson) Rhoades. She is survived by long-time companion, George (Hip) Houser, Tyrone; two daughters: Mrs. William (Karen) Parker, Warriors Mark; Barbara McNeal, Tyrone; five granddaughters, Shelley, Lori, Janice, Debbie, Janel; and by four great grandchildren, Billy, Michael, Morgan and Josh. Also surviving are two brothers: George W. Rhoades, Altoona, Pa. and Laurie W. Rhoades, Tyrone. She was preceded in death by five sisters (two infant sisters unnamed) and six brothers. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Tyrone. Dorothy was employed by Gardners Candies, Tyrone, from the 1940's to the present, serving in various capacities in the store and also at the plant. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Feller Memorial Home.
