McClellan, 615 North Fourth Street, Bellwood, died yesterday at 4:45 p.m. at the Altoona VA Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born January 5, 1921, in Grazierville (near Tyrone, Pa.), a son of Charles and Reba Harshbarger McClellan. He was married to the former Lois Jean O'Shell, who survives. Also surviving are six daughters: Yonnie Williamson and Pamela Sue O'Shell, both of Altoona, Pa.; Nancy Hamel, Bellwood; Beth Ann McClellan, at home; Karen Parker, Warriors Mark; Barbara McNeal, Tyrone. Seven grandchildren survive, as do five brothers and sisters: Beatrice Cherry and Charles McClellan, both of Tyrone; James McClellan and Bernice Fleck, both, of Grazierville; Sara Jones, Phoenixville. He was a member of the Bellwood Fraternal Order of Eagles and of the Bellwood Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the European Theater during World War II. He was employed by Conrail as a machine operator. He retired in 1974. Funeral will be held Friday at the Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood. The Reverend Louis A. Sprowls will officiate. Interment will follow in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood, Pa. Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., September 24, 1980
