Died in Florida – Body Will be Brought to Tyrone For Burial. The sad word was received in Tyrone Monday that John Edward McClintock had passed away at his home in Pilelias Park, Florida, from a general breaking down of the system due to over work. Two years ago Mr. McClintock left Tyrone for the sunny clime of Florida very much depressed in health and was only there a short time until he absolutely recovered his full health and strength again. He became very much interested din his new home and in a short time was elected clerk of the borough council. He was also secretary of the Florida association in charge of the Southern office. Besides he represented the Pinellas Cane Syrup company and visited hundreds of customers every month. He worked sixteen and eighteen hours a day and his system was not strong enough to withstand the great strain. Five months ago he had a relapse or a general break-down and since then he grew gradually weaker until he passed away at an early hour Monday morning. J. Edward McClintock was a young man of high ideals and sterling character. We have known him for years and always found him to be a true, noble friend. Too much good cannot be said of the young man whose life’s work ended this morning. He fought a valiant fight and his gone to claim the reward for those whose trust as in Christ Jesus. He was a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal church, a member of the Tyrone lodge No. 494, Free and Accepted Masons, the Harrisburg Consistory and the Altoona Shrine. John Edward McClintock, was a son of David R. McClintock, of 109 East Fourteenth street. He was born at Potter’s Mills, Centre county, about 39 years ago and came to Tyrone with his parents at the age of 14 years. For a number of years he was associated with the postoffice department of Tyrone, after which he became affiliated with the McClintock and Musser Candy company. He was united I marriage about twelve years ago to Miss Lillian Antes, who with the following children survive to mourn a loving husband and father’s death: Anna, Margaret and Jack. He is also survived by his father and the following brothers and sisters: Emory E. and J. Harry McClintock and Mrs. Rudolph R. Rhineschmidt, of Tyrone and Mrs. M. H. Ake, of Altoona.
